Psalm 30:5
This site is made in remembrance of our 2.5 year old son, Carter Couch, who unexpectedly passed away on June 28 due to epilepsy complications. It has been months of grieving and learning to live with the loss of our beautiful boy. Nothing prepares you for something like this and we are only now gaining the courage to speak out and raise awareness concerning both epilepsy and SUDEP.
There are several risks that accompany an epilepsy diagnosis, which include SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). Sadly, this is how we lost our CC. SUDEP is the most common epilepsy-related cause of death.
As a family, we are raising funds to make a difference in the lives of people living with epilepsy. The mission of the Epilepsy Foundation is to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.
Please support this cause by making a safe and secure donation to my fundraising webpage. Giving to the Epilepsy Foundation means you make the world a better, easier, more manageable place for the 3 million people in the U.S. who are living with epilepsy and seizures.
Carter LOVED helping and serving others, so we are confident that this is what he would’ve wanted.Always smiling, Carter loved hugs, donuts, ladybugs, the Texas Longhorns, the color purple – and most of all his mom and dad. Carter saw the good in everyday and in everyone. He found the good because he looked for it.
Call your mom. Eat a donut. Give a hug. Crack a smile. #cthegood

Our Carter was the most special boy! He was super active and was always wanting to play! He loved cars, trucks, hot wheels, basically anything with wheels. He loved watching the "diggers" build new houses and roads in our neighborhood. He loved going to Target, Costco, and HEB. Going to the UT baseball field was an almost daily outing and he brought so many people joy including players, coaches, and especially his Daddy. Carter LOVED going to school. He had so many special friends who he became extremely close with. His teachers were enamored with him as well. He learned super quick and was amazing at talking and had an amazing memory. He would memorize almost whole books if we read them enough. He could hit a wiffle ball better than me. Our next door neighbors gave us permanent access into their backyard because we were always asking to go get the balls he hit over the fence.
We can't wait to see Carter again in Heaven one day. As hard as the days are, everyday is a day closer to being reunited with our boy.
